Stories of people who work, who have struggled, who have won or lost or at least got a good laugh out of it. That's a lot of what folk music is. I agree, tell stories an mank them as true as you can through research or experience.
Perhaps some of the older music, such as "Freedom is your Destiny" ? Looking forward to reading more of your stories :-)
